How To Install A NMO Ham Radio Mobile Antenna Mount
http://www.kcomm.biz This video shows how to install a NMO type antenna mount..It was mounted on a 2009 Ford F-150 pickup truck at Kcomm the ham radio store in San Antonio, Tx..I aquired my brother Tim KE5CFZ to help me..
The NMO mount requires a 3/4" hole which was drilled thru the roof just in front of the cargo light assembly..The coax was then run under the headliner, down under the inside trim, then under the kick panel to behind the drivers seat..
The coax was cut to length, pl-259 was soldered on & a Tram dual band antenna was screwed onto the NMO mount..
The antenna was tested with an analyzer & all SWR checks were good on VHF & UHF..

Icom IC-7000 Ham Radio Mobile Installation
http://www.kcomm.biz Here are some pictures on an Icom IC-7000 that was recently installed in a Toyota Avalon..
The head was remoted on the dash using a Yaesu MMB-62 mobile mounting bracket..The radio was set under the front passenger seat..We used a Jetstream JPST10 for an external speaker..The speaker was mounted in front of the passenger front seat..
The antennas were Workman mono band sticks..The support for the antennas is a Tram NMO trunk lid mount, which used a NMO to 3/8" adapter..
The system was checked out & everything worked fine..The customer was happy..
